fruit mix

I got a 6 gallon bucket full of apples, oranges, grapes, grapefruits, pears, bananas, persimmons, tomatoes, & plums. (from a grocery store that was throwing em away... over ripe). I chopped & boiled everything, then mashed em good. It smelled like candy. Then I added 15 gallons of water with 20 lbs sugar. I added E 1118. This was on 11/29/10. The next day I walked into the room and it no longer smelled like candy, it smelled bad, almost like a rotten sulfur smell. :x Since then, the bad smell is almost gone, but still noticeable. Its bubbling like crazy, and when I stuck my face near the top of my fermenter and took a wiff, it almost took my breath away :shock: ( I think it was the high C02 content ). Will this smell carry over through the still? Anyone tried a mix like this? I'm really curious to see how it turns out.
