Maker's Mark 46

Post by MuleKicker »

Anybody try this stuff?????? I was at a christmas function this weekend where there was quite the spread. In this spread was Maker's 46. Had to have a sip. I dont care much for regular maker's mark. Well, this stuff was no different. I have to say it might have been worse. I think the heads I throw away are smoother than this stuff. It burned all the way down, and left a hell of a chemical taste in yer mouth. At $36 for a .750, A total dissappointment.

I was given a bottle of Makers Mark for Christmas ...and poured 3 fingers over rocks this evening.
I dont find it distasteful, but it aint terribly smooth. My bourbon is different in several areas, but a lot smoother.
Makes me wonder if they make it like that on purpose.

It's my brother-in-law's favourite so my aim will be to make a better drink for him.
One day.
When I get the new pot-still set-up going and then, later, try to make whisky.
