I don't think that I have enough cooling flow. Because I'm not getting all kinds of vapor out the top end even when I turn fire all the way down. I'm using a small sump-pump but I think I'm going to tap water just to improve flow or add ice I'm out of time tonight.

what cha need tulsa.. and Welcome to the world of us outlaws.. I love beeing a 1%er . I have many 1%er buddies.. :ewink:
If you have good cooling you should not be getting any vapor, all you should get is distillate when the temp it right..

So your saying with low cooling flow lowering the temp of water will accomplish the same thing. The main thing is after Christmas I was low on cash and bought a realy cheap pump.

Can you raise the pump up? I mean physically get it higher, closer to the height of the input of your coil? I hear that will help as the pump doesn't have to work as hard to pump the water. I don't know from experience that's just what I've read.

You gotta raise the water surface too, you can have your pump as deep as you like.

Got any pics of your outfit?

It is worth noting that your still will cooperate a bit more with an alcohol charge.

Ok I got the vapor knocked down just fine now. Best part is that now I've got 20 gals of low wine ready to run in just a few days when I get time. So I'll let you know how it goes. I used tourbo yeast because I had already bought it. So next I'm going to try the birdwash. Wash me luck!

After I ran it all i let it set over night and just don't like the flavor. My wifes best friend how ever go so drunk because I didn't water it down at all she tried sleeping with her. Sounds good but my wife was quit unhappy.
