Fellas,
Found a place close to Brisbane (Redcliffe) (Roll out the Barrel Cooperage)that sells American oak offcuts for $5.50 a kg. There is another place in Bundaberg that sells it for $5.00 that one of the other fellas on the board put me onto but it is a bit far north for me.
Considering they are over $60.00 a kg at brew shops in the small packs I think $5.50 a kg is cheap. I am getting 10 kg for myself and 5 kg for another fella I know tomorrow.
