I have the ebook and within it suggests using basically bike innertubes to join the column together. i.e. to attach the cooling head to the column. You can see it in the picture i.e. the black strips.

Seems like most of their recipes unless starting from a neutral or vodka base calls for turbo yeast, I am sure some others will weigh in on this but the recipes can obviously be modified which might be fun to try! Thanks for sharing

I have the PDF for constructing that reflux column and it also mentions the bicycle inner tube seals... I would not recommend them for potable spirits although I have never attempted exposing that synthetic rubber to hot ethanol vapor or liquid... That LM design is very similar in concept to the two cups design as well as the two reducer design I am currently running... That is essentially a knock off of the PDA-1 design...

The main thing I have seen missing from the design is the lack of a means of keeping reflux from dripping straight back down into the lower column... Whether this could cause performance issues or not depends on the style of the reflux condenser... The condenser design in the PDF is for a single coil with the center packed with copper mesh and that design might promote more liquid reflux closer to the outer walls of the reflux chamber than towards the center...

I'd build the design, but with fewer pricey fittings...

i enjoyed the enzymes on sale, that include pectinase, preventing methanol, if I'm right.

Rad ,thanks for the info on the stills, it interests me to perhaps make my own, should probably get more of a plan for it, and of course no rubber.

it actually makes more as it brakes down skins and cell walls.
