condensor output

maybe you can help a new guy out. Is there any truth to having the output of the condensor lower that the input of the column. read this some where in still construction. If this is true could someone please explain this further, I e-mailed the guy who wrote the instructions, and his reply was," It jsut that way" with no real definiton. Thanks
