I have always thought it crazy that my live in girlfriend spends so much time on facebook reading posts from her friends and acquaintances. (think smokin hot blond 13 years younger than me)
I use my computer as a business tool damn it not a toy! I wouldnt be caught dead on Facebook, My Space or any social network!
Then I just realized I am doing the same damn thing since I joined HD.
How many of you think of each other as extended family and friends, with stills for children?
Sharing your favorite cookie (booze) recipes with each other. So how ya feleing today?

Ha, just yesterday I was complaining to my GF that FB is a waste of time, she just created a FB account and was concerned about all the ladies that are coming up on my FB wall. She does not know why they are on my wall, shes a computer illiterate. So I had to sit her down and explain that FB is a big waste of time and how their info is on my wall, the only reason I use FB is to put up pics of my kids so family and friends can see them. But all the other stuff just wastes time...however I did not tell her how often I spend reading HD... I will just keep that under my hat...

You are right about the social aspect, I have more friends here than I can ever hope to have on FB however the difference is this site is educational therefore it is where I choose to spend the bulk of my time

FB is only as educational as your friends make it. I have a few that post some good educational finds. Then I have others that I wonder how they dress themselves in the morning without moma around. It serves a purpose. I can keep up with family and friends that live all over the globe. And I get to tease them all with pics of the food I cook. One of the other hobys.

Yeah, seem to spend more time on HD than I ever did on FB... Got spammed rotten on FB, so closed my account down...
Anyway, all my internet buddies are here, and sometimes we even have a Skype at each other, now that friggin amazes me...
I can speak to another stiller on the other side of the planet as if I've known them personally for years. Met up with another stiller here in the UK to buy some 4" pipe, soon as we started chaffing about theory, ect, we just went on and on...
Really great community...

INTERNET??? Is that thing still around?

My wife is a facebook junkie. I refuse to get a facebook page. If I want to find long lost friends, I will call them. If not, there is a reason I dont want some people to find me. I give her shit about facebook, she gives me shit about HD. So yes, HD is my facebook. And I can tell you folks alot more here without the shame involved with telling the locals.

Never had a FB account, though the wife does. I spend as much if not more time reading these forums as she does on FB. I feel like I know most people here better than she does FB friends, and I am sure glad Uncle Jessie got this site running like he did cause when it used to go down every week I felt lost.

Mule, I was reading a thing on here about someone doing that, idiot got busted. I would consider everyone here that I have ever engaged conversation with, close friends and family. I use facebook to talk to people and check to see if anyone is throwing a good party every once in a while, I agree with Prairiepiss "FB is only as educational as your friends make it..." However, on here there is always something to read or someone to check up on.

Mule Kicker,
Did you hear about the idiot that tried to sell pot on Ebay? Of course the highest bidders were the local cops that showed up and busted him.
He was lucky he didnt mail it to them and get charged with federal offense. Where do these guys come from? Must have had smart parents too.

Okay guys, I was going to post some pictures of my kids and their kids and my dog.
Then I remembered my kids don’t have kids and my dog is so damn cute that one of you fellas would come over and steal her…..
Is that what they do on face book?
Sounds like a country song to me, and I am an old rocker. (think Janice J)
I don’t think we are missing anything.
Here I think I am getting smarter every day, But that could be the booze talking. Ahh, Wat a ya gonna do?
