TIG Welding joints

Its been a while since I dropped in, my final joints on the arm of my still are unbraised having been delayed by a baby & school and so my pot still (or the parts) sit collecting dust on the bench. I am using a SS milk can for the pot and copper for the arm, and the joint has been giving me (and my friends greif). Its been suggested that I get it TIG welded instead of braising it. Is that a safe route to take?
