do a taste test... chances are it will impart the flavour. Look for a stainless funnel

I've got a bottle of 'Dansk' vodka which is aluminium - no trace of taint from it.

the difference here is that it's being used for brief contact with cool liquid not with hot vapours.

Take the pipe that comes in a beer keg or other stainless pipe, drill a hole in a stainless bowl, tig weld pipe to bowl. Stainless funnels are expensive and hard to find.
You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, and them's pretty good odds.

That's a great idea Rocky :o but if some can't do the tig welding they'll be wanting to glue, epoxy or JB weld it. LOL

Sorry Fourway and it's not funny, but lots of people look for short cuts if they don't have other means.

The aluminum bottle u have has a non-reactive resin on the inside of the can, just like beer, Aluminum reacts super badly with Alcohol at almost any proof, there are additives in the aluminum that leach out because the alcohol acts like a solvent, and these additives will hurt you. Just the same as galvinized steel, since a bit of lead is used in the galvinizing process.
If it dont burn it aint good!
