I use a all stainless pot still, and here not to long ago i read that copper should be somwhere in your vapor path to help with sulfides. That being said, since i put some copper mesh in my vapor path i get a kind of metal taste in my product that hasnt ever been there. My question is why is it so important for the copper to be in the vapor path. Are sulfides harmful, or does it impart bad taste or what, whats yalls take on this?

gobbler777, are you sure that those copper scrubbers are truly 100% copper and not simply copper clad...??? I'm not knocking China but I've seen some of their cheap imports from there that claim to be 100% copper but are actually mild steel clad with 100% copper... It was pretty obvious when a rare earth magnet clung to the package right in the display rack... Right above the "100% Pure Copper" statement...
