Rare Yeast and cheap enzymes

Post by Mashy »

Found this joint when looking for a true distillers whiskey yeast. If you want darts and a sub they have them too. :wtf:

1lb of Amylase Enzyme Formula was only 8.99 and they only charged me 47 cents shipping from MA to WA for a total of 9.46. I'm hoping this will help with premashing. From what I read it can be a combo of all amylase?

They also carry Fermentis Safspirit American Whiskey Yeast (search Fermentis on their site) , 500 gm (1.1lb) for $63.

Pretty interesting site....

What's the 411 that American Whiskey yeast? I use Gerd Strand's whiskey yeast, which always works well and I haven't been disappointed so far....

Not really sure. Supposed to be professional yeast for the big boys. I have no idea what separates that yeast from the strains us normal folks can get but I imagine it's some special strain.
