Hey guys. I started a molasses wash about a week ago (6 litres of blackstrapmolasses, 2 kg of brown sugar, tomato paste, two table spoons bakers yeast, 25 litres of water with a pinch of citric acid) and it seems to have stopped. I've thrown a bit more yeast at it a couple of times but, no love. No bubbles now. I checked with the hydrometer and (I'm not sure how to read it properly) it has stopped at 40 (just the start of the yellowish section marked"beer"). I don't have an initial reading coz I forgot to take one but that's wayyyyyyy too far away from being ready to distill anyway isn't it? My sugar mash worked really well and my next one looks good too, it's just the molasses one that's giving me lip.
Any thoughts?
