Getting the Redneck camper ready to head out tommaro Arkansas bound. We have been making this trip every year for the last 4 years. This will be the 5th. We found out all our friends back in Arkansas bought motorcycles the same time we did. So we decided to make it an annual thing to meet up with our old friends for the bike rally weekend. Good friends, good riding, and good times. We have a great camping site that is saved for us. He actually mowes and trims it better then the rest of the campground for us. We usually show up to find a nice pile of firewood waiting for us. He puts a johny on the spot about 25 yards away from us. Not to far away but far enough the traffic to it don't bother us. This year we decided to take the kids with us. Three boys all teens the oldest got his motorcycle license this year and we got him a bike. So we can all go and ride. It's just been the wife and I for the last 4 years. So this will be a new experience. We normally ride down I pull a trailer with mine and pack hers down. Last year we did 1400 miles. The first year we did 1800. But with the 3 boys we are trailering the bikes and sleeping in the trailer. So we won't get as many miles in. Anyway I mite check in or I mite not. I do have a couple bottles of good stuff stashed away for some campfire sippin. And I'm ready to get this show on the road. Tommaro night at this time I will be sitting next to the fire sippin and a grinnin.

Sounds awesome, have a good one. 25 yards away is just about the right distance for a johnny.

Yes Yes it is. No smells and you don't have to pack a backpack to walk to it.

Not sure what part of Ark you are going to, but there are a bunch of good riding roads in the state. I go to a motel rally in Eureka Springs most every year. One of the locals always leads a couple of "spirited" rides during the day. Then in the evening the other spirits come out while we kick lies and tell tires. Good times.
Have fun.

Feyettville NWA area. We will probably end up in Eureka at some point. We always do. We stayed there in a bed and breakfast for 2 days before the rally the first year we went. And yes the riding is great down there.

Well its this time a year again. I've been busy the last two weeks at working on the Redneck camper. Getting ready for the trip. I've installed a 20ft awning. That was fun. Pulled the plywood walls off the inside and insulated the walls. Then put the plywood back up. I replace both roof vents. I installed a two 20 lbs LP tank holder. And plumed the trailer with black pipe through the frame rails. Over to a propane heater inside. And back to the back corner on the outside. So I van hookup the camp stove back there. Got one of them fancy auto changeover regulators. Kinda nifty. Installed the propane heater. It's a comfort glow blue flame. I've had for 14 years. Bought and used it one winter. It's been in storage ever since. 20k BTU and thermostat controlled. Mounted some fans to move the heat around. Replace a couple 12v dome lights. Mounted a fluorescent shoplight. I can run off my inverter. Resealed a lot of the roof. Installed a porch light. Thinking about a second one towards the back. The awning has a fluorescent light built into the tube. I didn't even know it was there. I got to figure out how to wire it up. I'm thinking about taking it out and replacing it with rope lights.
Tomorrow is my last day of work. Then I'm off for the next 9 days. I'm so looking forward to it.
It's looking pretty good for weather. Mid 80s during the day and upper 50s at night. Rain showers on Saturday though 60% chance and in the lower 70s. That mite suck. But we will have 3 really nice days to ride.

Got the bikes loaded. All the camping gear loaded. Grill, tools, I'm ready to go. Except the freakin crack in the tank on my radiator. I found about 3 hours ago. I cleaned it up real good and jb welded it. Gota let it setup overnight. And carry a bunch o antifreeze. It was bairly seeping. So it should be fine.
