Low raw sugar price in Oz

'Homebrand' raw sugar in Woolies is back down to $1.89 for 2kg. Never seen it cheaper.

Now is good time to stock up.

Wow! That would be 4 times as much as I have been paying. I didn't think about it the first time I read this. 2 kg is a little less then a pound right? I'm paying $1.79 for 4 lbs.

Hanging right around $0.58 to $0.63 a pound around here this part of USA... A little cheaper than in AUS...

wrong,1 KG is about 2 pounds.(2.2 )
so they are paying about .40 a lb.

Then Googles calculator is wrong. 1 pound = 0.45359237 kilograms is what Google says?

1 KG= 2.2046lb= 35.274 oz or just about 2 1/4? LB..
1 lb= .4536 KG or just a bit under 1/2 KG.

I'm sorry I was looking at it backwards. I'm not with it today for some reason. :crazy:

And I never look at the price of the raw stuff. To much around here. And again I forgot that's what they get sown there. I don't know where my hard is today :wtf:

Sugar (and bananas) got real expensive here for a while, after our main growing region for both (Nth Queensland) was hit by a series of big cyclones and floods over the last 3 years or so. Just getting back into full production now I think. :thumbup:
