How to search

I'm trying to find threads to get advice on what people use as a water source. However, I'm simply having difficulty using the forum search engine. I saw the + for a word that must be included. The bracket looks more like | rather than [ or ]. When I try to look up Distilled water it is saying that there are too many results. I tried to put the phrase in ()'s and " "'s so that it will be together but it appears that it may be looking for each word rather than the phrase with the space in between the words. The advice on the advanced search seems kind of limited so, I was wondering if there is a more detailed list of logical / boolean operators that we could use to better our searchs on the forum search engine?

I also typed in "how to search", +how +to +search, and my other water source questions. I guess I'm mostly trying to figure out the proper way to search for an exact phrase.

Thank you much,

Bulletproof.

If you want power then use the Forum Google Search link as it allows you to use all of the search powers that Google provides...

Oh that's nice. So, where it has "site:http://homedistiller.org/forum" listed on the google text entry, I put a comma after that and then "distilled water" (with the quotes) and the phrase came up. Thank you very much.

No comma, just a space and then any search criteria you want... The quotes are optional... Google has some excellent documentation on search engine usage...
