TROUBLE CLEANING FUTURE FERMENTERS

I just aquired a couple15 gal, a 30 and a 55 gal plastic drum (3 contained butter and 1 contained carmel syrup) I keep using hot soapy water, dumping, repeat but the stuff isn't coming out very good. Does anyone have any ideas what will cut this stuff out any quicker? They will make great fermenters.
