Houston checking in...

New member here. I've been reading the site for a few months now and figured it was time to speak up. By no means am I new to forums, just this one. I think they are extremely valuable tools if used correctly and I belong to one for almost every interest/activity I am involved in.
Excited to get started in the hobby and hopefully be able to contribute to the site.
When I started reading here I was thinking pressure cooker on the stove(electric) with some copper tubing. Now I'm thinking Brewhaus HC setup with either a 1500 or 2000w element and a Pinto controller run on 120v. It took a few reads through the "element control" thread but I get it now.
Still toying with the idea of building my own...
oh and let me finish with saying a certain TV show has had no influence, just funny timing as I'm sure new member registrations have been thru the roof.
