oak for aging

Post by Keith-OH »

I have a change to get some white oak from my buddy. He sold the white oak in his woods since for some reason they all died. But all that is left is the stumps and the tops. I would like to get some oak for future aging. So should I get the wood from the stump or will the 3" branches from the tops work?

Thanks,

Keith
