If you want any semblance of privacy and anonymity, disconnect your computer from the internet and never reconnect it... Destroy your cell phone and any other technological device... Cancel your television service... Junk your new car with all the data acquisition components you don't know about... And even that won't be a total solution...

Oh, and Facebook is probably the biggest data acquisition repository for the US government out there today... They have complete unfettered access to the entire database without any restrictions, regardless of what anyone tries to say to the contrary... Just sayin...

Google has many thousands of servers, uses untold amounts of bandwidth, has many employees... I don't understand why someone is complaining about their advertising. How else are they supposed to make a profit? They can beg for money like Wikipedia, but for the amount of resources they use, I doubt it would work.

I'm concerned about privacy too, but a company that big has to survive by turning a profit.

The problem is Big Business habitually make insane profits by screwing the customers. Google is an exception and I'm confident they will remain so.
