Last few meth busts Ive read about .Law was called when neighbors noticed coffee filters around . Guess they must use coffee filters a lot in manufacture of it .So if that's true be careful when using them for filters and covers over jars.

I hope they don't start watching who buys them. Like everything else they use.

I buy sugar at CostCo. Every damn thing we buy we get in bulk, so I don't worry about that.
Somehow they don't even question 50# of brown sugar when you're also buying 50# of meat and a palate of spaghetti sauce.

I just lay a clean white cotton cloth over the airing jars. Only use coffee filters for covering the opening on my ageing containers (kegs and demijohns), and don't need many for that.

They use WAY MORE than we will ever buy for our hobby. They will be buying 10 or more packages at a time. Unfortunately around here meth was a pretty big thing. I have a family member who fell into it and I have heard all about it. Nasty stuff.

If my neighbors know that coffee filters are used to make meth, I gotta wonder about my neighbors....

Did they want to know what you burnded so bad that you need a whole box? We sell certain construction products that are "dangerous goods" at work and are required to take drivers license info for them because they may contain chemicals that can be used to make meth ie:acetone or xylene kinds of things. Curious what raises a flag about copper scrubbies

Funny thing meth heads around here will steal ANYTHING made from copper to sell for scrap.
I've got some rentals and the copper goes quick if the place is vacant for long!
