Hey guys - Teaching my self how to braze on this part of muh still. Works so far with water and needs some polishing. Any recommendations on how to get the real dark staining off near the joints? Is there anything sold for a dremel drill like a scotch brite disk small enough to get in to the knooks and cranny's to get this staining off? Thanks in advance! -Licker

Looks like she will do the job just fine............. for cleaning the heavily oxidized joints pick up an assortment of the brass bristled brushed for a dremel, the wheel shaped ones work good........ in the future when you finish brazing while the joint is still hot give it a quick wipe down with a damp rag, that will take a lot of the oxidation off..............

Oh and make sure and wear eye protection with the wire wheels them tiny wires come off at a high rate of speed..........

I Hate you all!
I couldn't even get a shelf put up in the daughters room today!
If I tried to build that thing they'd have to call the rescue truck in to cut me out of the mess of burning copper that I'd be trapped in!

Yours looks nice tho....

Good looking bird. +1 on the dremel and they do make little cloth polishing pads you can dip in some buffing compound, but it's slow going.

Hey sorry I had to delete the photo's from this thread. I just recently learned of this "Geo Location Tracking" aspect of my phone which I took the photos with, thanks to member YHB giving me the heads up on the deal with this  !!

Don't need any "unwanted" visitors coming to the home front...

This is a really dangerous feature for unknowing folks like myself innocently just trying to share good information with other good folks that reside here within this forum. It really sucks in todays society we have to always safegaurd ourselves constantly from the "creepers", "theives" as well as the "man" (lawl) on what seems like a 24/7/365 day a week battle.

I'm not that old, but man, I miss the 70's boy... -Licker

Those geotags should have been removed... Husker worked up a script to scrub all of the images on this site so uploading here might be even safer than using image hosting sites...

Hey rad - YHB was able to tell me the exact location of my house. I'm going to scrub them myself and reload them tonight. Let's do another test offline to make sure the script is working properly. Maybe a hacker was able to currupt the script. -Licker

I do not know how often the script is run - I believe that the situation is that the files can still be uploaded with Geo-tagging data and then at some point later the Data is removed.

If I stumble on a picture with tags I let the owner of the pictures know - but I do not look at all posts.
Still Locations.jpg
This is a map showing the locations of some of the geotagged files that I have found, each of the orange Blobs indicates where the picture was taken and as you know you can zoom into the location in great detail.

This together with the post of the bust in NC - who knows??

The script is a 'manual' run. The files are owned by a non-login user. Thus, it requires processing using a sudo command, to grant privledges.

The files ARE scrubbed, a couple of times a week (when I think about it). However, users themselves WILL have to take responsability for their uploads. I have not yet found where within the phpbb code, to make these changes. It is not a trivial task to dig through 10's of 1000's of lines of code, by someone who is not one of the original developers of the code, to find and fix this AT the upload time.

H.

These should be removed now.
