CAN ANYONE IN NEW ZEALAND HELP?

I have been trying to acquire a section of 1 - 2 metre 6mm o.d. copper tube (to build a pot still for experimental batches of different favours) for a while without luck.
Been to air condition engineering and automotive supplies shops, they only sell whole roll in 15M, and also cost a lot.
I have seen one roll of 12M sold at NZ$48 + postage at TradeMe.
Anyone in NZ got a short section that can sell to me?

Not in NZ but I got mine from a Gas place. They use 1/4" copper for tails for household gas regulators. When I bought my 4m length the bloke looked at me and said 'still?' Aparrently there's a fair bit of it going on around here.

Not in NZ either. But I obtained my 6mm copper tube from my local small town hardware shop. Cost me $20 for 6M. Many specialty plumbing supply shops will sell it by the metre too.
Pretty weird coincidence that my local hardware shop bloke is also into homebrew, has a rather large homebrew range considering the size of the store, has stills and flavour concentrates and all. He def. knew what I was building

Hi TCNZ, any luck getting your tube? Only just joined and seen your message. I'm bound to have a piece lying around, if not could get one. If you're in Wgtn area esp it won't cost anything for a 1-2m length.
Cheers

Most delighted to hear from you, I still didn't have any luck yet.
Please let me know how should I proceed to get one from you.
I am in Auckland and you can reach me at email:
tc-nz@hotmail.com and let me know the cost + postage.
Thanks a lot in advance.

hi tc, glad to be able to help so I'll be in contact via your email. A local scrap metal dealer sometimes gets lots of refrigeration tubing, great for condensors and coils and keen on homebrew too (funny that!) and quite amenable to some swappsies, but even at the scrap price it's great value...
