Adjusting for hot distallate ABV

Post by hendecp »

OK, I know this probably has been posted a million times, but I have been searching for an hour and cant find anything that is helping me. My question is, what is the adjustment for proofing hot distillate? I have a parrot with a proofer floating (obviously) and it works great, BTW. The distillate is hot since I don't have leibig hooked up. I know there is some math to adjust for hot distillate based on temperature and what the readings are. Can someone tell me or point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!
