porcelanized steel boiler

i found in my grandmothers attic an old pressure cooker made in porcelanized steel, is it ok if i use this as a boiler, i dont really know how they make this but i guess that if it has this kind of material onits surface it will work fine

Yes, it should be fine. If theres some serious chunks of porcelain missing it may eventually start rusting there, but if its in good condition, go for it.

It looks to me that you found an enameled cast iron pressure cooker, like you said, you hit the jack pot, take good care of it and make sure you don't chip the enamel, it will last many life times.

My boiler is about the same size. Last time it took four runs to strip it, and then one run to redistill. But you could strip it in 3, as long as it isn't a foamy wash (because there's less head room).
