Sugar beet pulp vodka

Post by junkyard dawg »

I was doing a little googling on the topic of sugar beet pulp. Its in all the feedstores around here and its really cheap. Thought it might be a good cheap source of sugar. Found this link:

Sugar Beets are a good source of sugar. The only thing is that once they hit the feed store - is all the sugar out of the beat? I don’t think companies would waste all that sugar and give it to the animals. Check the label and ask the store clerk. Would be nice if it still had sugar.

I got the impression that there was a little sugar left in the pulp, but not much. I'd like to try finding plain ol beets, before processing.
