Hey all, can i just wire up my heating element to a cord and run it?. Theres lots of info about what sizes, installing them, but cant find anything about wiring them up?. Thanks

wiring should be housed safely and grounded to boiler

the wiring should be 10ga or lower... no extension cord is 10ga [that i've seen] short of welding extension cords..

dont plug in unless full submerged...

You'll need something to control the element or it'll most likely run too fast

What wattage is the element?

Thanks astronomical, its 1500w, ive got a 50L keg and will be doing 25L washes. Work mate has a 25L boiler and does 23L washes and says his 1100w element if perfect and doenst need a controler?. I want to run it like that. No instructins oxbo rene.
