controller or element issues?
Hey folks, tried doing a cleaning run last night and my controller wouldn't pull more than 11 amps. I am running a MK5500 with a 5500w element. Outlet source is good seems to power the clothes dryer just fine. None of the cord ends got hot and the element did fire, just at about a third of what it should have. This is my maiden run with this controller/ element set up. My initial thought is bad element. Any advice would be appreciated. I have PM'd Mulekicker but I am sure he is pretty busy.

New element installed same result. The potentiometer doesn't seem to supply any power till about 3/4 of it's way through rotation, any clues?

Need to wait for MK unless you have access to a 250w pot switch. Only two wires to it if they are tight not mush you can do. Sorry it dont help MK is the man you need to talk to. Hang tight

Sorry for the delay. PM sent
Another thing to just throw out there: Check the actual rating on the side of the element. I have seen a few that have been packaged wrong. Kinda throws a guy off. Glad ya got it fixed
