Lemon cointreau???

Hello people

I have obtained an important quantity of lemons and, tired of the lemoncello, I was thinking about doing something in the same way cointreau is done.
Leave the lemon peel macerated in alcohol, blend with water and distill.
What do you think? Any experience with that?
