What should my yield be and how long should it take to run
I run a 32 quart pot still from smileys home distiller shop , i use electric for saffey reasons because my collection spout is only a foot away from my still , I use a hose to make the collection spout longer though , however it takes me literally all day and some of the night to do one run , I figure if I switch to propane flame for heating up my stainless steel still I assume it would make the run quicker , how can I run a flame heat source without modifiying mg still , maybe just get a longer collection spout and use one of them turkey fryer defile with slight modifications to hold the still in place ? Thanks all , and if I run fire instead of a 1000 watt iron coated hotplate hotplate I can distill in the winter to correct ? Since it would bring the whole still up to heat instead of just slowl from the bottom like the electric ( my hotplate tales 2 hours minimum before it even starts boiling , and that's with the still not even full to the max , when it is full to the max it takes about 3-4 hours to even bring it up to heat , never mind dripping out even the foreshots

a lot of variables but 2-4 hours.
git a length of copper and swag to fit over what you have.

Thanks much again dndrhead , so if I get this turkey fryer setup it will literally be 2-4 hour runs in proper conditions

IMO, you will definitely see an overall better efficiency with the propane adanac58..
I can heat an 30 Litre wash between 30 - 40 minutes... In winter, an hour or so...
+2, on what Dnder says...
Hope it helps... Keep us in the loop...
