Look to your wash.
You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, and them's pretty good odds.

use the fruit syrup method (like tater does),or
age it with a couple pepercorns and a little pure maple syrupfor a few weeks,or
Make some 100proof kaluah,or
soak some lemon and lime peels in it(without the pith) add some sugar.

There are PLENTY of things you can do to flavor your product.

What are you using for your wash?

Looks like you have to improve your still or distilling technique.....create more reflux, taller column, lower takeoff rate etc. Maybe go for the valved reflux design as it is tried and true when aiming for more neutral spirits.

I wouldn't expect any of those to taste good. Sugar washes have a funny funk to them most of the time and the failed wine...'nough said. Sweet feed is really sketchy too. You may be able to clean up what you have, but making a good mash to begin with is where your gonna get good distillate.

I have made some pretty tastey stuff with sweet feed.
Pear wine should have turned out ok too.

Like Dawg said, your liquor is made in the mash barrel not the still 8)
Never follow good whiskey with water, unless you're out of good whiskey!!!
