First off i would like to thank all you for this amazing wealth of information i have been reading through for about the last month or so.
I was looking at stills and found a place in portugal that sold alembic stills (unfortunately before finding this site) and purchased the following 20 litre still.

So when i got it setup and ran vinegar after i finished i gave it a quick rinse with water only to find that the "internal paste seal" was comming away. So i filled it with water to see how bad it was, and bad it was, water was leaking out of the seams.
I started to search to find out what to do next and found (on another website) that the paste is made from linseed oil and gypsum, rather than wait for replacement paste to arrive from portugal i got the ingredients and made my own paste. With the boiler pasted up i was ready to run some cheap a$$ wine i got from lidl.
So i fired up the gas and proceded with the alcohol run and first thing i noticed was the differnce in flow rate as well as how much cooler the condenser ran then there was an awful smell of what i later worked out to be linseed.
I went searching again on what to do and started to search this forum specifically for an answer and eventually found this post.

So i have concluded that soldering it is the only real way to go and will be hopefully getting it done on thursday on my next day off. So i finally get to my question would this solder be ok to use?

It says 4% silver, 95.5% tin and 0.5% copper
The most frustrating thing is that i have had 21 liters of fermented sugar wash waiting for about 5-6 days to run but don't want to ruin it.
Many thanks.
Jool.
