Did you build it or purchase it some place. Looks like an older still and just wondering what type of solder was used?

PS very cool looking rig!

Bought it from a guy in GA. that builds them, he sells on e-bay to. goes by alphamoonshiner. He does really good work and I would recommend him if your looking to buy a built one, they are lead free. Been calling around trying to find a place to buy copper sheets I would like to build a bigger version of it as I like the old style.

That is just an awesome still "shiner"! Actually it is almost exactly like the one I just built except for the lyne arm, and I don't have a thumper yet. I see you are firing with wood? I would love to hear the details on how well it works for you.
Like was said above.....Popcorn is smiling!

The more I look at your set-up, the more I love it! Did you by chance take a series of pictures of constructing the fire box around the still? I would love to see just how you did that.

The furnace is just lots rock from a creek and find the closet thing to clay u can find use the clay as cement and get creative and build. I laid a heavy fire grait down ounce i got the sides built its covered in rocks and clay except where the still sets, it heats good. Just remenber it your gonna smoke up the whole damn hollar when u light up best wait till dusk or dark. Not for folkd eith much neighbors around
