I've been reading HD after I found out I've got 3 plum tree in my back yard thinking I could make something out of it

I like the idea of brewing my own alcohol and experimenting with that since I got lots of spare time I like to check and mesure and count and calculate

I'm planing on a 5L pot still I want to brew small batches at a time so if it is bad I don't wast too much of it. I'd like to make my still so it could be taken apart easily for storage or upgrade switching to reflux colum or changing condenser I'm thinking about having all parts screwed together by some plumber fittings

I still have a lot of reading to do but comments are welcome

French Canada?

I want to see some Maple Eau de Vie. I have tried Vermont Gold, which is good, but just too refined to let the maple through.

I'd love to try it out I'd love to try it from the ground up .not too sure about fermenting maple sap but worth a try with maple syrup 50 ml of syrup contain 46g of sugar ! I'll start by building a still and some UJSSM to get the feel of it then many plum brandy with plums from my back yard who knows

Hi ya I'm making plum brandy right at the moment  , Just my experience but I have a little 5ltr boiler that I never use. The reason I never use it is at that small size I found getting my cuts right was very difficult and I ended up with a lot maybe most of the hearts were smeared with faints. Very hard to go past an old 50ltr beer keg, cheap, adaptable, and quite a good size for those 25 ltr fermenters
