so let me start this by saying if you do a search you will find tons of info on pressure cookers as stills. however the general understanding is they are not the best starting point. first off the rubber seal in the cooker is a 100% no no. second the size of most pressure cookers doesn't allow for much in the way of distilling. think of it this way. after you throw away the forshots, and make cuts of heads hearts and tails... you may have about .5 liters of something drinkable.

now if one was to look into this build further you will find that in addition to the small scale your most likely to cook on a stove top which will cause nothing but smearing and make the aforementioned cuts to be near impossible.

in the end you could turn a pressure cooker, but in the process of trying to create a safe and drinkable product and to better this hobby of ours i would suggest doing more research and building something a little better and safer

Agree with above....my first still was a 30qt SS stock pot....I think this is probably one of the most simple to create and if you look on this site you will find thousands of ways to do it. Good luck and read...
