I have been reading here for almost 2 years now and finally decided to join. About a year ago I purchased a 5 gallon pot still kit from clawhammer supply. Thanks to all the information from here I have been fairly successfull with a few tried and true recipes. I am gathering pieces to mount a bokabob on a 1/2 keg with electric heat. I am a paraplegic so I have to rely on 2 discrete helpers and their busy schedules, by the time we make 2 strip runs and a spirit run, then make cuts.....and split it up.....it doesnt leave much to try and experiment with aging, flavoring etc.etc. . I would feel safer running something electric on my own and i want to try to make some neutral spirits eventually. Right now enjoying some sweetfeed and planning on making another batch.
Anyway. . . a very late thank you for all of your help!
I can not wait to piece together my aluminum keg with some lead solder then hook it to my brass radiator condensor and let a few gallons age in old milk jugs at 60% ABV. :-]

Welcome! Sounds like you've got a sence of humor... yea, electric is probably safer and easier used considering having to swap the tank on occasion. Also, I think it is a little more fine tunable for reflux... sounds like your on the right track, be safe... welcome to HD!!!

Sounds like you've got a pretty good setup with the helpers.

Sometimes it helps just having somebody around to hold the crazy funnel in place and keep the bottle from tipping over while you fill it.

Glad you finally decided to say hello.

Welcome aboard, mate.
