froze grape juice

I wanted some grape brandy real bad, since my grape wash didn't turn out I went to a grocery store here they had 100% concord grape juice on sell.I bought 2 gallons.I had a sugar wash I ran the day before. So I took about 12
ounces of spirit in 2 qt. jars and feeled the rest with grape juice.I put it in the freezer and left it for about 24 hrs, give or take a few minutes. When I took it out it was slushy.I drained the Ice off and put it back in the freezer and left it
over nite. This time it had no ice in it.The spirits was about 100 proof before I added the juice. Its the best grape hoocth I ever drank. At first when I seen the ice in it I was going to through it in with my next batch. But I got to thinking about freeze distilling.Mine was run thru a relux still then froze. So it don't have any nastys in it.I'm sure all the older distillers on here have done this, but I wanted to share my story.since it turned out to be such good brandy.I did not mean you guys were old but you all have been distilling a long time. Thanks for any comments on this.
ps. I ended up with about a 1.1/3 qt.
