Hello from southern Ohio

Post by Charlietuna »

Hello everyone.
I am a wine maker that has decided to attempt distillation.
My first attempt was last night & know I need some help!
I'll be posting pics & asking some questions shortly.
If anyone has any wine questions, I should be able to help.
Thanks, CT

I'm sure this venture will go just as the wine making. My wine started with a gallon jug & some fish tank air hose into a cup of water with a little caulking. Now I'm making 30 gallon batches, with the best equipment & starting my vinyard in the spring.

My set up can be seen on my only other post. It's very simplistic at this point, but I've already located a keg & plan on making a reflux column. I was a PE in a chemical plant for many years, one of my reactor systems was very similar to this. I've also made many glass lab batches. So, I'm familar with distillations - but not on this level. I'm here to learn from the pros.

Thanks, CT

Read and learn, thats what this forum is for.

Do a search before asking though, there are some out there who will flame you if you don't!!!
