I did all 5 buckets the same with same ingredient, exactly. Why would # 4 only at 7 days beat the front 3,2,&1?Dnderhead wrote:check #4 see if it is sweet or use a hydrometer and check if done run it

I did the exact same thing on all five buckets with same amount of sugar and the same yeast, etc....Dnderhead wrote:"RUN IT!"
yes but you should check.it out. it makes a good lessen .
was it warm enough? to much sugar?,to little sugar ? bad yeast? lack of nutrients?
then next time "the stall" mite be avoided.(if it was)
and if there is sugar in the wash cushion is needed when/if you distill.
of course the opposite could be true ,you unknowingly could have made a improvement.

could be a partially bad batch of yeast. in the long run it is done when it is doneWindDawg wrote:I did the exact same thing on all five buckets with same amount of sugar and the same yeast, etc....Dnderhead wrote:"RUN IT!"

By "cushion" he means add extra head space in the boiler to account for possible foaming due to unfermented sugars...WindDawg wrote:What do you mean by a "Cushion"?
