when aging spirit in a charred white oak keg, should you shake the keg every so often or should it just sit still and not be moved....also, will we get the sweet smell of whiskey by just aging in the keg or should there be something else added to the keg when aging...
thanks, scott from texas

Be sure its full. leave no airspace when you fill it. You dont need to shake it, but turn it every once in a while. Leaving it exposed to temperature swings will help. I leave 'em out in the garage.
