Diluting aged spirit with beer

Has anyone tried diluting their whiskey spirits after aging with a reserved quantity of beer to get to bottling proof? Any adverse effects? Cloudiness? Odd flavors? Contemplating for my next run.
sorry man, I just cain't take beer or wine anymore...
