copper scrubbies

Post by bellybuster »

recently found packs of 3 what they claim to be 100% copper scrubbies at the dollar store. Put one in water over night and it came up rusty. Thought oh well, rinsed it off and did it again, less rust. third time no rust at all and the copper is still shiny bright. I'm thinking the rust may have come from tooling??
Not sure I'm even going to try them, may go the BBQ lava rock route if I can figure a way to keep them in the column.

Are they from the Dollar Tree? Scrub Buddies brand? The ones I've seen were labeled "copper coated." Does a magnet stick to them?

no, magnet doesnt stick but I'm not going to use them anyway, I'm not sure enough. Dont want to lose any of that sweet nectar of the Gods

the stuf from the distilling sites is too expensive for my cheap nature, think I'll try the lava rock

Libman 100% copper or chore boy 100% copper are the only two I trust.
