hey all,
i have recently been give a lot of old plumbers soldering and plasma cutting gear and solder rods. one of the packets of solder that were given to me is a harringtons silver brazing rods (AS 1167) would these be suitable for soldering copper and stainless on a still? They dont have anything saying what there composition is.
also is there a way to check (make sure) the wright rods are in the wright package. ie melt color or something like that? i could just buy the wright solder but figure i should use the ones given if i can be certain they are the lead free ones.
cheers for any help MK
