First stripping run yielded a clear, colourless distillate of 65%. I then added baking soda to it. The result is a colour change from clear, colourless to this opaque bluish colour. I assume that copper was present in the distillate in its ground state and then oxidized to copper salts (Cu2+). Does this happen to others?
