there is actually something to it but there's not allot of info on it out there. Something to do with histamines.

Well, I've not heard the concern before and didn't want to incite controversy but at least this source reports that the concern is 'fiction'.

It's not fiction for people who have a hard time with hard liquor and seafood...
It's more of a combined mild allergy thing...

Gotta cast my vote here, I spent about half my working life in the oyster and clam farming business and have eaten tons of both and I may mention that I do tend to drink a little with my oysters, never had a problem, but that's just me. 

Sometimes I wonder why is that Frisbee getting bigger......and then it hits me.

Some of the best times Ive had have involved a bottle of rum and a huge plate full of Chilli Crab, never had a problem
