I ordered some distillers yeast, Come to find out it won't be here for another week. So, I just went to the grocery store and purchased some Flieschmans yeast.. I'm busting a gut to make my first run. Is it worth the time and materials to mix a mash using this yeast? Or should I just wait?

I don't plan to backset or use as fiens any of however it turns out. Would it work at all? Would it be drinkable? Thanks for any advice.

Honestly bakers yeast makes a better drink than distillers yeast... 9 times out of 10 that "Distillers yeast" is a turbo yeast and ull end up with a poo drink with tons of off flavors. Go back to the store, but a jar or two of Red star dry active bakers yeast ... Can never go wrong with it, and its cheaper!
