Do people really talk like that? Omg, that's how I sound when I'm pretending to be a backwoods hillbilly workin on my wash/still/runs. I'm sorry if I offend those from wherever that is lol.
At least he's smart enough to know that worries of infection are way less than we make it out to be. Funny vid.
I would guess that half his sugar is gonna be sitting on the bottom of his fermenter.
What's funny. Without even opening the video I know exactly which one it is. Let me guess used all six packs of yeast because they were past the expiration date but they still worked. Hydrated/activated in a small pot.

My 6 year old niece knows more than this idiot... Sad sad world we live in..

I'm embarrassed for some of the people who post videos on Youtube... They honestly think what they are doing is great and that the rest of the world will be thrilled to view their videos... Sad, very sad... Yesterday I somehow got into watching several videos about stripping copper wire for scrapping purposes and felt sorry for a couple people who had uploaded failed attempts at making stripping contraptions out of pieces of scrap 2 x 4, deck screws, utility knife blades, and whatever else... I couldn't post a video of me not knowing what the hell I was doing but these folks have no qualms whatsoever... It takes all kinds...
I like Uncle Jemima new the video before I looked. Though I am a backwoods hillbilly of sorts if you can look past the dialect not nearly enough corn or sugar even for a basic wash. This is what us newbies have to learn from until we find this forum. Thanks to HD forum for all your knowledge!
Yeah WV. Before I found this place that video is what I based my first wash on. I used way more sugar and corn though.
About a large coffee can full of corn. Maybe 5-7 pounds. And about 6 pounds of sugar to a five gallon bucket.
By the time it was ready to run I had found UJSSM recipe so I knew to keep all of that run for a spirit run later and I knew to keep my grain bed and to use Backset from that run.
So I guess some good can come from it. I also watched a lot of other videos besides that one for ideas. Some good some bad.
I'd have never figured out an all grain without this place though.

Hey Uncle, I'm with you on an AG mash. I tried it with the instructions that came with my still but those were like swiss cheese. Lots of holes in them.
Now I can look at these videos and know what to believe and what to laugh at.
Never try to argue or reason with idiots and morons, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
