sugar wash and wine

I have a sugar wash at 15% that i'm planning on useing. I Was wondering If I could throw 5 gallons of old wine into the mix since I have the capacity. That shouldn't be a problem, should it?

That depended on what kind of still you are useing.
If you are useing a pot then the flavor of the wine would come over.
If you are useing a reflux and going for a neutural sprit I dont see any problem adding the wine to your wash.

Has the wine turned to vinegar? If not you may want to run the wine with the scrubbers removed like a potstill to make a brandy. It ain't everyday you get 5 gallons of wine to run.

I did the same thing yesterday. (not as much wine though) I ran it thru my reflux still and couldn't tell any difference from just a plain sugar wash.
