Hi everyone, first time poster on here. I have searched everywhere for a definative answer on this. I am aware that it is illegal to distill alcohol in this country. Does anybody know what the actual punishment is? i have read that a potential penalty of up to £5000 could be an issue, but is there any definitve risk of a custodial sentence. It wouldnt be for sale but if for example somebody made a bottle for there mom and they covered the costs of the brew and you got caught would they really throw the book at you. And is this common?
any help would be greatly appreciated?
