Would putting copper around an element cause problems

After bouncing around back and forth on how the heck I wanna heat my rig, I think electric makes the most sense. Cost is a factor, as is ease of use and safety.

I am worried about scorching on the element though, as I do enjoy doing chunkier runs leaving the chunks in the boiler. In my opinion, I think it helps to transfer more flavor, plus filtering it out/waiting for it to settle is a pain.

Would taking two copper sheets and riveting around the edges and sliding it over the element help with this, to distribute the heat better? Or perhaps simply wrapping it with some copper mesh or even some 12ish gauge copper wire to increase its watt density. And if this would help with that, will it cause issues on the element itself?
