Honey I'm Home

Post by MaStiKa45 »

WOW WOW WOW

This place is AWESOME.

Just reading a few of the topics i know this is where i belong!!!

My home away from home while I'm at home.

Thought i would introduce myself before i start annoying everybody with a million questions.

I was under the impression that i knew a reasonable amount about distilling but after a bit of reading on here came to the realization i was both deceiving and flattering myself.

Just call me "sponge" now as i am squeezed of all content and ready to absorb!

Quick pictorial info.

Hello and welcome to the forum, I can't tell from here, but I hope your still is either copper or stainless on the inside, they are the only safe materiel to be used when distilling

those glass bottles are looking pretty amazing though!!!!!!!

Thanks for the welcome pounsfos.

Yes still is copper on the inside and on the outside 8)

That is an old copper boiler/washing machine from the 50s,60s & 70s.
You should know that seein' your just over the pond from me.

The top has a rim welded to it and sections cut so it locks in with the base and also forma a flat & level platform for ease when applying the "dough seal"

It holds 40litres but i usually keep it under 35litres when distillin'

Why don't you swim across the pond and we'll sample  the contents of those bottles!!!
